CFNetwork in Apple Mac OS X 10.7.x before 10.7.3 does not properly construct request headers during parsing of URLs, which allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive information via a malformed URL.

The weakness was shared 02/02/2012 by Erling Ellingsen with Facebook as HT5130 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2011-3447 since 09/13/2011. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
