The weakness was shared 08/30/2012 by Nicolas Gregoire (miaubiz) with Google Security Team as stable-channel-update_30 as confirmed blog post (Website). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-2867 since 05/19/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1499 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
