The weakness was shared 08/30/2012 by Emanuel Bronshtein (miaubiz) with BugSec as stable-channel-update_30 as confirmed blog post (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at googlechromereleases.blogspot.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-2872 since 05/19/2012. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
