The web service in AutoFORM PDM Archive before 7.1 does not have authorization requirements, which allows remote authenticated users to perform database operations via a SOAP request, as demonstrated by the initializeQueryDatabase2 request.

The weakness was disclosed 06/13/2012 as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). It is possible to read the advisory at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2012-1827 since 03/21/2012. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. A single authentication is needed for exploitation.
