A vulnerability was found in Dell Sonicwall Scrutinizer With Flow Analytics Module up to 8.6.1 (Firewall Software) and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality. SQL injection vulnerability in d4d/statusFilter.php in Plixer Scrutinizer (aka Dell SonicWALL Scrutinizer) before 9.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the q parameter.
The weakness was presented 07/30/2012 by muts as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is shared for download at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-2962 since 05/30/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. A simple authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
