A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, was found in Cisco Secure Desktop up to 3.1.1.26. Affected is some unknown processing of the component Downloader. The WebLaunch feature in Cisco Secure Desktop before 3.6.6020 does not properly validate binaries that are received by the downloader process, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via vectors involving (1) ActiveX or (2) Java components, aka Bug IDs CSCtz76128 and CSCtz78204.
The weakness was presented 09/24/2012 with Cisco (Website). The advisory is available at tools.cisco.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2012-4655 since 08/24/2012. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. The structure of the vulnerability defines a possible price range of USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 04/17/2017).

Upgrading to version 3.1.1.27 eliminates this vulnerability.
