The weakness was presented 09/12/2012 by Artem Chaykin as not defined changelog entry (Website). The advisory is shared for download at googlechromereleases.blogspot.com. The public release was coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-4904 since 09/13/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim.
