Grinder in Red Hat CloudForms before 1.1 uses world-writable permissions for /var/lib/pulp/cache/grinder/, which allows local users to modify grinder cache files.

The weakness was disclosed 01/04/2013 by Kurt Seifried as Bug 882138 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-5605 since 10/24/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
