Use-after-free vulnerability in the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) implementation in Google Chrome before 17.0.963.83 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors related to the :first-letter pseudo-element.
The weakness was released 09/19/2012 by Christian Holler (miaubiz) with Google as APPLE-SA-2012-09-19-1 as confirmed posting (Website). The advisory is available at prod.lists.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2011-3050 since 08/09/2011. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
