A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, has been found in Cisco Finesse (version now known). Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the component Web Interface. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Absolute path traversal vulnerability in the web interface in Cisco Finesse allows remote attackers to read directory contents via a direct request to a directory URL, aka Bug ID CSCug16772.
