A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in SearchBlox up to 7.5. Affected is some unknown functionality of the component File Upload. Unrestricted file upload vulnerability in admin/uploadImage.html in SearchBlox before 7.5 build 1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by uploading an executable file with the image/jpeg content type, and then accessing this file via unspecified vectors, as demonstrated by access to a JSP file.
The weakness was shared 08/28/2013 by Rick as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is available at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-3590 since 05/21/2013. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
