Details
A vulnerability was found in SearchBlox up to 7.5 and classified as problematic. Affected by this issue is an unknown code. The manipulation of the argument name with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is integrity. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in servlet/CreateTemplateServlet in SearchBlox before 7.5 build 1 allows remote attackers to overwrite arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the name parameter.
