A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, was found in Apple iTunes up to 11.0.5 (Multimedia Player Software). Affected is an unknown function of the component ActiveX Control. The iTunes ActiveX control in Apple iTunes before 11.1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted web site.

The weakness was shared 09/19/2013 by Honggang Ren with Fortinet's FortiGuard Labs (Website). The advisory is available at lists.apple.com.
