A vulnerability, which was classified as very critical, has been found in Mozilla SeaMonkey (Web Browser). This issue affects the function drawLineLoop. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a memory corruption vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-119. The product performs operations on a memory buffer, but it can read from or write to a memory location that is outside of the intended boundary of the buffer. Integer overflow in the drawLineLoop function in the libGLESv2 library in Almost Native Graphics Layer Engine (ANGLE), as used in Mozilla Firefox before 24.0 and SeaMonkey before 2.21, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted web site.
The weakness was presented 09/18/2013 by Christian Holler (Inferno) with Google as Bug 890277 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at bugzilla.mozilla.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-1721 since 02/13/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. The price for an exploit might be around USD $0-$5k at the moment (estimation calculated on 01/07/2022).
