A vulnerability was found in IBM Optim Performance Manager. It has been classified as problematic. Affected is some unknown processing of the component Configuration Manager. IBM Data Studio Web Console 3.x before 3.2, Optim Performance Manager 5.x before 5.2, InfoSphere Optim Configuration Manager 2.x before 2.2, and DB2 Recovery Expert 2.x do not have an off autocomplete attribute for the login-password field, which makes it easier for remote attackers to obtain access by leveraging an unattended workstation.
The weakness was disclosed 09/25/2013 (Website). The advisory is available at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-4025 since 06/07/2013. Local access is required to approach this attack. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 124206 (Multiple Vulnerabilities in IBM Data Studio Web Console, Optim Performance Manager, IBM InfoSphere Optim Configuration Manager, and DB2 Recovery Expert).
Upgrading to version 5.1.0 eliminates this vulnerability.
