A vulnerability classified as problematic was found in Novell GroupWise 2012/8.0/8.00/8.01/8.02 (Groupware Software). This vulnerability affects an unknown part of the component HTTP interfaces. Directory traversal vulnerability in the agent HTTP interfaces in Novell GroupWise 8.0 before Support Pack 3 and 2012 before Support Pack 1 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via directory traversal sequences in a request.

The weakness was disclosed 09/21/2012 by r () b13$ with Digital Defense, Inc. (Website). The advisory is available at novell.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2012-0419 since 01/09/2012. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1006 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
