The get_main_source_dir function in scripts/uscan.pl in devscripts before 2.13.8, when using USCAN_EXCLUSION, allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in a directory name.

The weakness was presented 12/13/2013 as Bug 1040266 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-7050. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
