Settings in Apple iOS before 7.1.2 allows physically proximate attackers to bypass an intended iCloud password requirement, and turn off the Find My iPhone service, by leveraging incorrect state management.

The weakness was released 06/30/2014 by Erling Ellingsen (cunzhang) with NESO Security Labs as HT6297 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at support.apple.com. The public release was coordinated with Apple. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2014-1350 since 01/08/2014. The exploitation appears to be easy. An attack has to be approached locally. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1068 for this issue.
