Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the redirection feature in url.php in phpMyAdmin 4.2.x before 4.2.13.1 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the url parameter.
The weakness was published 12/03/2014 by Manuel Fernandez with ElevenPaths as PMASA-2014-18 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared at phpmyadmin.net. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-9219 since 12/02/2014. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
