The weakness was disclosed 12/09/2014 by Toshiharu Sugiyama as APSB14-27 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at helpx.adobe.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-0580 since 12/20/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1068 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 79835 (Flash Player <= 15.0.0.239 Multiple Vulnerabilities (APSB14-27)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
