AFP File Server in Apple OS X before 10.10 allows remote attackers to discover the network addresses of all interfaces via an unspecified command to one interface.

The weakness was shared 01/27/2015 by Craig Young with Tripwire VERT as HT204244 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-4426 since 06/20/2014. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1592. The advisory points out:

The AFP file server supported a command which returned all the network addresses of the system. This issue was addressed by removing the addresses from the result.

It is assigned to the family Misc.. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 123193 (Apple Mac OS X v10.10.2 and Security Update 2015-001 Not Installed (APPLE-SA-2015-01-27-4)).

Upgrading to version 10.10.2 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
