A vulnerability has been found in Xangati XSR and XNR (the affected version unknown) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown part of the component Installer. The manipulation of the argument binfile with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities in Xangati XSR before 11 and XNR before 7 allow remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in (1) the file parameter in a getUpgradeStatus action to servlet/MGConfigData, (2) the download parameter in a download action to servlet/MGConfigData, (3) the download parameter in a port_svc action to servlet/MGConfigData, (4) the file parameter in a getfile action to servlet/Installer, or (5) the binfile parameter to servlet/MGConfigData.
