A vulnerability was found in Pocoo Jinja2 up to 2.7.1. It has been declared as problematic. The default configuration for bccache.FileSystemBytecodeCache in Jinja2 before 2.7.2 does not properly create temporary files, which allows local users to gain privileges via a crafted .cache file with a name starting with __jinja2_ in /tmp.
The weakness was shared 05/19/2014 by Jakub Wilk as Bug 1051421 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). It is possible to read the advisory at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2014-1402 since 01/10/2014. Attacking locally is a requirement. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1068 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

Upgrading to version 2.7 eliminates this vulnerability.
