Details
A vulnerability classified as critical has been found in Cogent DataHub up to 7.3.4. Affected is some unknown functionality. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, and availability. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in Cogent DataHub before 7.3.5 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files of unspecified types, or cause a web-server denial of service, via a crafted pathname.
