A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, has been found in SensioLabs Symfony (Programming Tool Software). This issue affects the function Yaml::parse. The Yaml::parse function in Symfony 2.0.x before 2.0.22 remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code via a PHP file, a different vulnerability than CVE-2013-1397.
The weakness was disclosed 06/02/2014 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2013-1348 since 01/14/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1059 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
Upgrading to version 2.0.19 eliminates this vulnerability.
