A vulnerability was found in PHPCompta PHPCompta and NOALYSS up to 6.7.0 and classified as critical. Affected by this issue is an unknown code of the file backup.php. backup.php in PHPCompta/NOALYSS before 6.7.2 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via shell metacharacters in the d parameter.
The weakness was disclosed 10/06/2014 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at xforce.iss.net. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2014-6389 since 09/12/2014. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1059.
A public exploit has been developed by Portcullis and been published even before and not after the advisory. The exploit is available at exploit-db.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. By approaching the search of inurl:backup.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
Upgrading to version 6.7.1 eliminates this vulnerability.
