The weakness was disclosed 01/08/2013 by David D. Rude II and Alexander Gavrun with iDEFENSE Labs as APSB13-02 as confirmed bulletin (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at adobe.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with Adobe. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2013-0623 since 12/18/2012. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a private exploit is available.

Upgrading to version 11.0.1 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
