Details
A vulnerability was found in Zoho ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer 9.0. It has been classified as critical. This affects an unknown functionality of the component Upload Servlet. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Directory traversal vulnerability in the agentUpload servlet in ZOHO ManageEngine EventLog Analyzer 9.0 build 9002 and 8.2 build 8020 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by uploading a ZIP file which contains an executable file with .. (dot dot) sequences in its name, then accessing the executable via a direct request to the file under the web root.
