A vulnerability was found in Oracle Fusion Middleware 11.1.1.1.0 (Middleware). It has been rated as problematic. Apache Tomcat 5.5.x before 5.5.35, 6.x before 6.0.34, and 7.x before 7.0.23 uses an inefficient approach for handling parameters, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a request that contains many parameters and parameter values, a different vulnerability than CVE-2011-4858.
The weakness was disclosed 01/15/2013 as cpujan2013-1515902 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at oracle.com. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-0022 since 12/07/2011. The exploitation is known to be easy.
