Open redirect vulnerability in mobiquo/smartbanner/welcome.php in the Tapatalk (com.tapatalk.wbb4) plugin before 1.1.2 for Woltlab Burning Board 4.0 allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary web sites and conduct phishing attacks via a URL in the board_url parameter.
The weakness was presented 01/15/2015 by RedTeam Pentesting with RedTeam Pentesting GmbH (Website). The advisory is shared at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-8870 since 11/14/2014. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation.
