Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in IBM WebSphere Portal 8.0.0 through 8.0.0.1 CF15 and 8.5.0 before CF05 allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of arbitrary users for requests that insert XSS sequences.
The weakness was published 03/05/2015 as Reference #1697213 as confirmed security bulletin (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at www-304.ibm.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2014-6214 since 09/02/2014. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available.
