A vulnerability, which was classified as critical, was found in Yuba U5cms up to 3.9.2. This affects an unknown code block of the file u5admin/pidvesa.php of the component admin/. The manipulation of the argument uri with an unknown input leads to a redirect vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-601. A web application accepts a user-controlled input that specifies a link to an external site, and uses that link in a Redirect. This simplifies phishing attacks. Multiple open redirect vulnerabilities in u5CMS before 3.9.4 allow remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary web sites and conduct phishing attacks via a URL in the (1) pidvesa cookie to u5admin/pidvesa.php or (2) uri parameter to u5admin/meta2.php.
The weakness was presented 02/11/2015 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at zeroscience.mk. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2015-1578 since 02/11/2015. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. Technical details and a public exploit are known.
