The weakness was presented 03/11/2015 as MS15-022 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at technet.microsoft.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-1636 since 02/17/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. A simple authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 81757 (MS15-022: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office Could Allow Remote Code Execution (3038999)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
