A vulnerability was found in pfSense up to 2.2.0 (Firewall Software). It has been rated as critical. Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the file system_firmware_restorefullbackup.php of the component WebGUI. The manipulation of the argument deletefile with an unknown input leads to a cross-site request forgery vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-352. Cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerability in system_firmware_restorefullbackup.php in the WebGUI in pfSense before 2.2.1 allows remote attackers to hijack the authentication of administrators for requests that delete arbitrary files via the deletefile parameter.

The weakness was published 04/10/2015 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at pfsense.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-2295 since 03/14/2015.
