A vulnerability was found in Adobe Flash Player up to 13.0.0.x/17.0.0.x (Multimedia Player Software) and classified as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component ASLR. Adobe Flash Player before 13.0.0.281 and 14.x through 17.x before 17.0.0.169 on Windows and OS X and before 11.2.202.457 on Linux does not properly restrict discovery of memory addresses, which allows attackers to bypass the ASLR protection mechanism via unspecified vectors, a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-0357.
The weakness was disclosed 04/14/2015 by Jihui Lu (bilou) with KeenTeam (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at helpx.adobe.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-3040 since 04/09/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
