The weakness was released 01/28/2013 by Sergey Glazunov (Slawomir Blazek) with VUPEN as HT5642 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2012-2889 since 05/19/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.
