PDFium, as used in Google Chrome before 43.0.2357.65, does not properly initialize memory, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via unknown vectors.
The weakness was presented 05/19/2015 by Atte Kettunen (Cloudfuzzer) with Zero Day Initiative as Stable Channel Update, May 2015 as confirmed release notes (Website). The advisory is shared at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-1259 since 01/21/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.
