The Xen netback functionality in the Linux kernel before 3.7.8 allows guest OS users to cause a denial of service (loop) by triggering ring pointer corruption.
The weakness was shared 02/05/2013 as not defined mailinglist post (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.xen.org. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-0216 since 12/06/2012. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
