Apple OS X before 10.10.4 does not properly consider custom resource rules during app signature verification, which allows attackers to bypass intended launch restrictions via a modified app.

The weakness was published 07/03/2015 by Emil Kvarnhammar with Zero Day Initiative (Website). The advisory is shared for download at lists.apple.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2015-3714 since 05/07/2015. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
