The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
A public exploit has been developed by Google Security Research and been published 2 weeks after the advisory. It is possible to download the exploit at securityfocus.com. It is declared as proof-of-concept. We expect the 0-day to have been worth approximately $25k-$100k. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 85325 (Adobe AIR <= 18.0.0.180 Multiple Vulnerabilities (APSB15-19)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Windows. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 168130 (OpenSuSE Security Update for flash-player (openSUSE-SU-2015:1781-1)).
Upgrading to version 11.2.202.508 or 18.0.0.232 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability. Furthermore it is possible to detect and prevent this kind of attack with TippingPoint and the filter 20453.
