Multiple integer overflows in libstagefright in Mozilla Firefox before 38.0 allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted sample metadata in an MPEG-4 video file.
The weakness was disclosed 08/12/2015 as MFSA 2015-93 as confirmed security advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at mozilla.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-4496 since 06/10/2015. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
