Apple Safari before 6.2.8, 7.x before 7.1.8, and 8.x before 8.0.8, as used in iOS before 8.4.1 and other products, does not indicate what web site originated an input prompt, which allows remote attackers to conduct spoofing attacks via a crafted site.
The weakness was disclosed 08/11/2015 with VulnHunt as HT205033 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-3729 since 05/07/2015. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1211 by the MITRE ATT&CK project. The advisory points out:
An issue existed where Content Security Policy report requests would not honor HTTP Strict Transport Security.

The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 123805 (Apple Safari 6.2.8/ 7.1.8/ 8.0.8 Not Installed (APPLE-SA-2015-08-13-1)).
Upgrading to version 6.2.8, 7.1.8 or 8.0.8 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
