Details
A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in Apple iOS up to 8.4.0 (Smartphone Operating System). Affected is an unknown code of the component Air Traffic. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. CWE is classifying the issue as CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. This is going to have an impact on availability. CVE summarizes:
Directory traversal vulnerability in Air Traffic in Apple iOS before 8.4.1 allows attackers to access arbitrary filesystem locations via vectors related to asset handling.
