CoreText in Apple iOS before 8.4.1 and OS X before 10.10.5 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted font file, a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-5755.

This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-5761 since 08/06/2015. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Multiple memory corruption issues existed in the processing of text files. These issues were addressed through improved memory handling.
