js/src/proxy/Proxy.cpp in Mozilla Firefox before 41.0 mishandles certain receiver arguments, which allows remote attackers to bypass intended window access restrictions via a crafted web site.

The weakness was presented 09/24/2015 by Francisco Alonso (Felix) with NowSecure (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at hg.mozilla.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2015-4502 since 06/10/2015. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1211 according to MITRE ATT&CK.
