The weakness was shared 10/21/2015 with Apple as HT205375 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at support.apple.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2015-5938 since 08/06/2015. Multiple memory corruption issues existed in the parsing of image metadata. These issues were addressed through improved metadata validation.
