CVSS Meta Temp Score
CVSS is a standardized scoring system to determine possibilities of attacks. The Temp Score considers temporal factors like disclosure, exploit and countermeasures. The unique Meta Score calculates the average score of different sources to provide a normalized scoring system.
Current Exploit Price (≈)
Our analysts are monitoring exploit markets and are in contact with vulnerability brokers. The range indicates the observed or calculated exploit price to be seen on exploit markets. A good indicator to understand the monetary effort required for and the popularity of an attack.
CTI Interest Score
Our Cyber Threat Intelligence team is monitoring different web sites, mailing lists, exploit markets and social media networks. The CTI Interest Score identifies the interest of attackers and the security community for this specific vulnerability in real-time. A high score indicates an elevated risk to be targeted for this vulnerability.

Detailsinfo

A vulnerability classified as critical was found in ownCloud Desktop Client up to 2.0.0 (Cloud Software). Affected by this vulnerability is the function QNetworkReply::ignoreSslErrors of the component Qt. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a authentication spoofing vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-290. This attack-focused weakness is caused by incorrectly implemented authentication schemes that are subject to spoofing attacks. As an impact it is known to affect confidentiality, and integrity. The summary by CVE is:

ownCloud Desktop Client before 2.0.1, when compiled with a Qt release after 5.3.x, does not call QNetworkReply::ignoreSslErrors with the list of errors to be ignored, which makes it easier for remote attackers to conduct man-in-the-middle (MITM) attacks by leveraging a server using a self-signed certificate. NOTE: this vulnerability exists because of a partial CVE-2015-4456 regression.

The weakness was published 10/26/2015 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at owncloud.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-7298 since 09/21/2015. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
