A vulnerability has been found in cups-filters and Foomatic (Printing Software) (affected version unknown) and classified as critical. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file util.c of the component Print Job Handler. The manipulation with the input value ` leads to a privileges management vulnerability (Blacklist). The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-269. Incomplete blacklist vulnerability in util.c in foomatic-rip in cups-filters 1.0.42 before 1.2.0 and in foomatic-filters in Foomatic 4.0.x allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via ` (backtick) characters in a print job.
