A vulnerability was found in cups-filters up to 1.0.41 (Printing Software). It has been declared as critical. Incomplete blacklist vulnerability in util.c in foomatic-rip in cups-filters 1.0.42 before 1.4.0 and in foomatic-filters in Foomatic 4.0.x allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands via a ; (semicolon) character in a print job, a different vulnerability than CVE-2015-8327.
The weakness was presented 04/14/2016 (Website). The advisory is shared at bzr.linuxfoundation.org. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2015-8560 since 12/14/2015. The attack can be launched remotely.
