mount.ecryptfs_private.c in eCryptfs-utils does not validate mount destination filesystem types, which allows local users to gain privileges by mounting over a nonstandard filesystem, as demonstrated by /proc/$pid.

The weakness was disclosed 01/22/2016 (Website). The advisory is available at ubuntu.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2016-1572 since 01/11/2016.
